Over the last few decades tuck-pointing industry has been growing rapidly due to rise in demand for masonry repairs. More and more people are becoming aware of the mortar problems faced by many whether they have moved in a newly built home or in an old one. This can be deducted from the fact that they are willing to spend cash on critical inspection. Critical Inspections help them in determining the condition of the building in which they want to move in. Often during the critical inspection people come to know that masonry conditions are not as good as they seem to be. This will save you a lot of trouble and you will be able to handle the masonry repairs and any other replacements before you shift in your new home.

With the passage of time the masonry repair methods have also evolved and today a much better and more reliable method is being adopted. It does not involve hammer and chisel to crack open the effected area for repairing rather all that is needed is an angle grinder which is fitted with diamond-carbide blade. This tool is specially designed to remove the mortar and allowing it to cut much deeper and faster then before. The grouting bag is used to inject the new mortar in the crack without much trouble. Later on the mortar is allowed to dry to a desired texture, tooled and cleaned.

Your home is not the only target of mason repairs. Nowadays, most companies often opt to have their offices in high risen buildings. This make them even an easier target of mortar problems due to the higher level of exposure to elements like thaw cycles, intense cold etc. So if you have been thinking that the office of your company is immune to this problem then you are severely wrong and thus conduct critical inspection in first priority. For more info on Tuckpointing and Critical Inspections pls contact Thomas Dymek at 773-235-5050.
