Plastic promotional conference bags are clearly the mainstay of most trade shows. They are inexpensive, somewhat durable depending on the gauge of the material, quickly produced, and able to display any graphic or logo imaginable. This allows you to use your budget for other things like promo pens or umbrellas even!

Unfortunately plastic promotional conference bags have gotten somewhat of a bad reputation based on very low cost; and the fact that they are seen as disposable objects does not really help their case either. Sometimes, however, you really just want a bag; you don't need a fancy canvas bag that will last for years, you just want to bag that will hold together your company brochures and pamphlets making them easier to pass out on the showroom floor. In instances like this you really cannot use any material more appropriate for your promotional conference bag than plastic.

In addition to being inexpensive plastic promotional conference bags are also quite versatile in their ability to be designed and colored. Unlike with other materials such as cloth plastic can be directly printed onto in any color imaginable and you will not have to deal with the effects of a colored cloth behind your graphic discoloring the final product. Also since the printed graphic essentially becomes one with the plastic you do not have to worry about durability issues that you would see when using a vinyl heat applied graphic on cloth. For these reasons if you are using intricate graphics or need a true color representation then you really cannot go better than with the plastic promotional conference bag.

Some people are concerned that plastic promotional conference bags will end up looking cheap, almost like a grocery store bag, or a ‘thank you for shopping here’ bag that you would see at a local convenience store. While it is true that your promotional conference bags can be this minimalistic, they do not have to be. In fact your plastic promotional conference bags can be as elaborate and detailed, as you want them to be. The sky pretty much is the limit when designing these bags, in facts depending on the gauge of the plastic used your designer can often times imitate the styles you would see in bags constructed of other materials. For instance if you have your heart set on a drawstring promotional conference bag you are not limited to using a poly cotton blend fabric, plastic promotional conference bags have long been made in the drawstring style.

In terms of versatility, costs, and quickness of production there really is no beating plastic promotional conference bags. They will not have the longevity of cloth bags, but because different circumstances call for different types of bags you definitely should not rule out plastic promotional conference bags when making a purchasing decision. They definitely will not be right for every situation, especially a situation where you are dealing with high-end clientele; however for 95% of your everyday usage plastic promotional conference bags will fit the bill quite nicely.
