| You will not score in any game if you do not concentrate. Easily, your opponents take away the ball from you. To be a great athlete, one must undergo rigid training. It is hard, but it is the resolution to be successful in basketball. You need a plan to overcome compulsive behavior, and being focused to reach that goal. You have to get pumped up, focused, and determined. Set realistic goals. Your enemies must not hamper your decision to overcome compulsion. Be wary of temptation. Stay focused. Do not allow temptations to drift into your subconscious be steadfast and chase them out, these will cripple your resolve. When you are tempted, be steadfast. Be on the alert that you are being tempted, admit it but drive it away. Be stubborn, even when friends are tempting you, Do not take in junk food and you will conquer. Applaud yourself when you succeed. It is confidence to refuse that you are helpless. Persistently refusing to do something has influence. It is absolute refusal that makes decisions resolute. Being intent is being immersed on something. Be prepared for the competition. Be steadfast. Do not be inattentive. Just as an archer aims for his target, he is intent to hit the target. Once he has fired his arrow, he relaxes and gets ready to be focused again. The focus is backbreaking. Be fixed. You can do it. Keep focused on the target and be absorbed on it everyday, particularly before meals or distraction. When it is done, be relaxed until the next target comes up. The mind can be very focused, and often you will find that it was all useless, without being aware until it's too late. Everyone experience this. It can uplift you of your resolve to be more vigilant. Firm decisions end mental wars. Weak decisions are useless. There will be times you will compromise and feel like a failure. Be firm. If you have decided to eat one bowl full of food per meal, decide to feel hungry before eating. Stick to your decision! "I am not getting pushed around any more I refuse to be controlled by food. I am immovable. My decision is final. I will not waver." The mental war ends. You are determined to succeed. Daily you review the reasons to affirm the purpose of your original decision. The moment you weaken in your decision, the war begins. Be firm with your decision for you to succeed. Compulsion is a vicious cycle. Emotions stir to a storm when pain comes in: anxiety, fear, insecurity, emptiness and deprivation. These feelings will not exist if you stand firm.
