To start with, The National Hockey League or NHL is a specialized hockey association comprising of ice hockey teams in North America. It is a premier certified ice hockey league in the world. The association is divided into two groups of fifteen-team. Every team comprises of three five-team divisions. The NHL was established in 1917 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada only with six teams.

Since the sport got its roots from Canada, a majority of the players are of the Canadian origin. In the past few years, the percentage of players belonging to the American and European origin has grown. And the main reason behind this is the expansion of The National Hockey League into United States.

Each and Every National Hockey League regulation game of ice hockey is played between two teams. The duration of each game is sixty minutes. A single game comprises of three periods of twenty minutes each. There is a break of seventeen minutes between the periods.
And in case If there is a draw between both the teams, then the game goes into overtime. The over time is usually given for five minutes. During this time, the team, which scores a goal, first wins.

Hockey tickets are one of the most popular stocking stuffers of the holiday season. Once the snow starts to fall, it means that it's time to strap on the skates and hit the ice for some hockey, one of the most popular sports in the country.

NHL tickets are among the most in demand these days as the game is gaining popularity and for which tickets are hunted for till the last minute. There are Super bowl and play off tickets available on the sites, they offer information pertaining to the matches, the dates, timings, and how many tickets are available. So it becomes easy for the fan following to get the tickets now. One can buy sports tickets through the sites, although it is bound to be a bit expensive than buying at the counter, one should realize that these sites offer them the opportunity to grab a ticket and watch their teams battle it out live. And to see their favorite stars playing the game the fans can go to any extent just to get the tickets.

Trust me there is nothing more exciting than being in an excited atmosphere with the crowd roaring watching the best athletes in the world perform to their fullest. Having sports tickets allows you to get the full experience while watching the game first hand.

And here are the five main ways you can get the tickets

1) Online-here you can go to the popular sites and book your tickets online.
2) Go to the stadium-you can go to the stadium directly and get the tickets.
3) Scalpers-This is by far the most risky way to purchase sporting event tickets, but at times can be the easiest and cheapest way to get them.
4) Grocery stores or ticket stores- many grocery stores sell sports tickets to the home town teams for the major sports.
5) Friends and Family-this is the last way you can try, ask you near and dear ones to arrange the tickets for you.

So the next time you are planning to watch the match, get the tickets and watch it live in the stadium because its much more fun out there!
