| Glasgow business And Its People |

If you have ever been to Glasgow then I assume you will know what I mean when I say that Glasgow is quite unlike anywhere else in the world. Not that I am claiming it is the ultimate location in the world, although through my eyes it does come close, but I have heard many a traveler say this once accustomed to our culture and most importantly, our people.
You see, Glasgow has a magnetic effect on people, yes, I am sure that there are many people out there who see Glasgow as a hard, unforgiving city and it has been well documented in the past that Glasgow is one of the toughest cities in Europe, but most of these seasoned beliefs are probably honed by people who have never visited Glasgow before. Now before I appear to have blinkers on I will admit that Glasgow has had its fair share of problems, and still does, but tell me of a major city that does not have its problems and I will tell you that no such city exists.
Back to the point I was making about magnetism, there is and I admit to not having the answer to it, a individuality to Glasgow, a certain sense of belonging when you do not belong, am I making any sense here as I am struggling to think about it myself and I was born and bred here, well I did admit to not having the answer, but all I can say is this is the feeling I have about Glasgow. Its amazing as I have been in many locations around the world and when people ask you were you are from and I inform them I am from Glasgow, they instantly warm to conversation and then, immediately, as if quoting some global code for Glaswegian visitors say one of the following things, Archie Gemmell, Billy Connolly or Rangers or Celtic, some famous Glasgow names I suppose but it just proves that Glasgow has more positive response than the widespread negative vibes that are generally believed to be out there.
Back to my thoughts on Glasgow's people, maybe this is where every thing I am writing about stems from. The magnetism, the warm response we get from other nations and visitors, Glasgow's people are very up front and honest, an endearing quality to own. They are also very helpful and always ready to lend a hand, whatever the situation. Doing all this with a good sense of humour thrown in for good measure makes for a well balanced individual in my book but then I am immensely biased as they are my own. There are many stories I could tell you about Glasgow that seem to imply that they would not happen anywhere else, this might not be the case but I have not heard anything like them from elsewhere, not yet at least. I am not portraying Glasgow as a one off city but there are elements to its social structure that are completely unique and rather special I may add.
So to clarify my thoughts I would say that Glasgow and its people are totally genuine and really up for life and this in general is contagious to all who visit Glasgow and experience what it has to offer, and it does offer exactly what you need, a warm welcome
